The church of Surb Zoravor (Anania) belongs to the type of 3-naved, domeless basilicas. The interior and the exterior are ascetic. Some khachkars (cross-stones) are cut on the walls of the church. One of the oldest churches of Yerevan was a part of the monastery complex constructed by archimandrite Movses Syunetsi. The complex included a church, a chapel, the residence of the archimandrite and a parochial school. In 1632-1635 the complex was completely reconstructed, and in 1679 it was completely destroyed by an earthquake. The present church of Surb Zoravor was constructed on the same place in 1693.
The remains of St.Anania are resting in the base of the church.
