Caves, speleological tourism in Armenia
Speleological tourism implies traveling through the natural underground spaces (caves). This kind of vacation needs appropriate equipment (ropes, lamps etc.). The routes in the caves are different. Uneven relief, lack of natural light is main features of speleotourism. It is important not to forget about the way of behavior and ethics in these wonderful monuments of nature.
Speleotourism grew rapidly in XX-th century. We are happy to present some routes of speleotourism in Armenia made by us. One of the biggest caves in Armenia is located in Vayots Dzor. It is Magil cave, which is not fully researched yet. We should also pay attention to the caves of Lastiver.
