Churches of the village Voskepar

The Voskepar village was located in the Tavush district, 8km south-east of Noyemberian. In the surroundings of the village there are ruins of the fort-bridge cemetery, and those of the ancient dwellings. Inside the village there is the small St.Astvatzatzin (Holy Virgin) church (VI-VIIcc.). Presumably the inside walls were plastered and covered with frescoes. The temple’s composition and unique proportions are telling of its creator as one who was a talented master.

In 1975-1977 St.Astvatzatzin church was once again reconstructed.
